Have you ever uploaded images into your computer from vacation and been disappointed at what your camera captured? Or maybe you are a blogger or creative entrepreneur that just needs to up your game in the photography department. Let me guess, you got that amazing camera as a gift but you're stuck on AUTO and the pictures it takes aren't any better than your iPhone. Maybe…they’re worse!

UNFOLD is a BEGINNER’S photography workshop for women. We are going to demystify that camera, get you shooting in manual and take your photography from BLAH to BOOM!

Hey there! I’m Jolene! I started my little photography business in the fall of 1999. Over the years I have photographed weddings, babies, families, commercial, editorial....you name it, I've probably shot it at least once. It took me a while but about 10 years ago I finally settled into what makes my heart sing the most and that is uplifting and empowering women of all ages.

I currently run two very busy photography brands. One that specializes in high school seniors and the other in intimate lifestyle portraiture for women. In addition to speaking engagements and 1-1 mentoring for professional photographers I also teach a 2 day, intensive photography workshop for high school senior photographers in Joshua Tree, CA every year.

I have been asked for years to host a class for beginners and I am super stoked to say IT’S HERE!

Attendees will receive:

  • A gorgeous, 32 page workbook.

  • You will learn about your camera, aperture, ISO and shutter speed. We’ll also practice taking photos including a portrait, a flat lay and a still life.

  • You will leave class with an understanding of what the settings are and how to use them.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to meet and connect with amazing, like minded women from the area at the workshop and also in a Private workshop attendee only Facebook group!

  • SWAG valued well over your ticket price!

  • Coffee and treats of course!

Please bring:

  • Your DSLR or mirrorless camera that has the ability to control your shutter speed, f-stop and ISO. If you do not have a camera yet, I will have one on hand or I can also send you information on where to rent one.

  • Don’t forget your lenses, battery and memory card(s).

  • A notebook or laptop for taking notes.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Hope to see you there!

xoxo
